Child and Adolescent Therapy
Most of the children and adolescents I work with are looking for help managing intense feelings, navigating social relationships, improving self-esteem, and decreasing anxiety. During the therapeutic process, they learn how to identify, express, and cope with their emotions improving their overall sense of happiness and self. Parents partner with me to learn strategies to help their child or adolescent explore their feelings, improve emotional regulation, and build confidence within the parent-child relationship.
Here are some common issues addressed in therapy:
Communication and conflict skills
Confidence
Emotional Regulation
ADHD
Adoption
Grief and Loss
Social Relationships
Trauma
Life transitions: school, moving, parental divorce
Worry, stress, and anxiety
